Down in the trench
It's where I belong
Covered in earth with ash in my lungs
Miles of sunken fields scorched with blood and rust
A barbed wire leash not tight enough
Flesh split apart by the swing of a bayonet
No room for mercy in the service of death
Down in the trench
It's where I belong
The battlefield my home
Cannons fire into the night as the front lines break in retreat
Nothing left but a glorious death
Hell I am eager to meet

This is the most personally appealing piece of music I have run into in a long time - from the beautiful lyrics and art and the crushing, non pretentious gorgeous heavy music. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, crushing - are there are other words? Gorgeous, exquisite.... sock4never

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
